In general, the Keck Lab is open daily from mid-morning until late at night—less on weekends. The specific schedule is posted on the door of the lab and immediately updated if there are any changes. You can be assured of access to the lab during all academic days from the second week of classes through the beginning of finals week. You can always call the lab phone (+1-310-338-2911) to determine if it is open or not.
During official university holidays and weekends immediately preceeding or following a Monday/Friday holiday, the lab is open at the discretion of the TAs scheduled for work. It is wise to call the lab ahead of time on those days to find out if an admin is on duty (+1-310-338-2911).
When the lab is closed, there may be students working in the lab, this is conditional upon there being an off-duty TA in the lab who is willing to be responsible for the lab during those times. This is at the discretion of the TA, do not be offended if you are not allowed access while the lab is closed.
The special use labs are available by requesting access from the Lab Manager in Doolan 104. You are encouraged to use them for project work and team meetings. Computer Science students may request them for work on projects that are not related to CMSI classes, however priority is given to those working on CMSI projects.
