The lab has a database server available for you to use for project and personal work. You must request that the database feature be added to your account in order to make use of this feature.
The database server is database.cs.lmu.edu and is not accessible from off campus or outside the lab. By default, your database will have the same name as your login and your password will grant you access to it. Note that Postgres makes use of the public schema by default and you will have to revoke public access to it if you wish to secure the data in your tables from other lab users.
You must request that your account have database capabilities enabled on it before you can connect to any databases. This request can be made in person, or via email to the Lab Manager.
